Thanks to the recently passed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 signed by President Barack Obama in February, tax credits are available for applying energy efficiencies to your principle residence.
Earn a tax credit of 30% of the product cost, up to $1,500, in 2009 and 2010.
All ENERGY STAR metal and asphalt roofs qualify for the tax credit. Products used must be expected to last 5 years OR have a 2-year warranty. Coating is the most cost-effective way to ENERGY STAR-qualify your roof!
You can earn tax credit for coating your roof with Elastek ENERGY STAR® qualified roof coatings – our top-of-the-line high performers — Solar Tek Extreme™, Solar Mastic™, and Solar Magic™— white only.
For example, if your roof is 2,500 square feet, you will need 10 5-gallon pails for two coats – approximately $1,040. You will be able to credit 30% or $312 against your 2009 taxes.
Not only will you be saving on your taxes, you’ll save on energy costs as well, as your summer utility bill will prove. And, our warranty program is even more justification that your efforts are a great investment.
Warranty Available
On these ENERGY STAR qualified products, we offer a Limited Service Life Warranty to the property owner stating that our white Elastek roof coatings will provide solar protection to the roof system from the first date of product purchase, based on the following schedule of coats applied:
Two (2) topcoats: #109 Solar Magic – 5 years; #100 Solar Mastic – 6 years; #120 Solar Tek Extreme – 7 years
Three (3) topcoats: #100 Solar Mastic – 8 years; #120 Solar Tek Extreme – 10 years
